Maia Williamson (b.2001) originally from England, was raised in Massachusetts. Her first introduction to sculpture was through ceramics, studying for many years in a local studio. In early 2021, moving away from ceramics, she worked as a studio assistant to sculptor Pablo Edwardo whose work focuses on monumental figurative sculpture. She then attended Grand Central Atelier, studying drawing and sculpture for four years.

Upon her graduation from GCA, in 2025, Maia was invited to become co-director of the atelier's sculpture program. Her work is predominantly figurative with a focus on portraiture. Alongside figurative work, she sculpts botanical relief.
